POEM OF THE WEEK

 

Need for Rhymes

​

Heed the warning when the bell chimes

These are times when one needs rhymes

Especially during times when things are black

Poems shouldn’t be something that we lack

 

We all should chime in and write funny things

And then watch the joy such endeavor brings

Each one of us, every man, woman and mortal

Should be required to make someone chortle

​

Looking on the bright side, instead of the dark

We should expose folks to laughter with a lark

Making lemonade from lemons and limes

​

These are times

when one needs rhymes

​
